The NAUI Sidemount Diver course provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to minimize risks while conducting open water dives with a side-mounted cylinder configuration within the no-decompression limits.
What You Will Learn
Learn about dive planning including limits based on: gas consumption, oxygen toxicity exposures, inert gas absorption based on depth and time within the no-decompression limits, appropriate navigation for the planned diving distance, and diver comfort. Upon successful completion of the NAUI Sidemount Diver course you are qualified to analyze and label your own breathing gas mixture.
How Do You Get Started?
You must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in a NAUI Sidemount Diver course. You must also be certified in NAUI Introduction to Technical Diving (or its equivalent), and have a minimum of 25 logged dives.
